The Association
About Our Association
SOS SUP TITICACA UROS is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to promote and support the practice of SUP as a high performance discipline among children, young people and adolescents around Titicaca Lake, especially in those areas that, due to their conditions, require external support for their development.
The association was created in 2022 together with Rachel Masserey, Davina Haldi, Raùl Delgado and Lizinka Naranjo founding members of the organization.
The mission is to organize activities around SUP to grow the sport, promote the benefits of practicing a regular activity, connect SUP passionates around the Titicaca lake and introduce an environmentally friendly means of transport to the Uros community.

SOS SUP TITICACA UROS is a Swiss based non-profit organization active in both Switzerland and Peru. Our association is registered in the Swiss commercial register and complies with the Swiss civil code of laws art. 60-79 for associations.

Rachel Masserey
Location: Switzerland
Position: President
Experience: Strong experience in the field of tourism, hotels, and aviation, coordinating operations, leading teams, teaching, and cultivating a solution oriented mindset. She discovered stand-up paddle racing during COVID and devoted her time and focus in this sport since 2022. She also strives in raising positivity and mastering emotions through applied positive psychology and resilience techniques that she studied for a year.
Passion: Stand-up paddle, languages, learning and teaching, connecting and discovering cultures , people and places.
Davina Haldi
Location: Switzerland
Position: Secretary & Accounting
Experience: Has worked in tourism, aviation, administration as a team leader, trainer and coordinator. Involved in sport activities from a young age, she discovered the wellbeing that SUP can bring. She also studies holistic therapies and is a certified yoga teacher, shiatsu practitioner and soon breath-work teacher.
Passion: Language, reading, sports, wellbeing.
Luis Rolando Aliaga Guardamino
Location: Puno, Peru
Position: Committee member, local & media coordinator.
Experience: Social Communicator and expert in mass media and graphic journalism. Percussion musician and digital narrator, with a social and human awareness, Rolando also trained as a scout working with young people aged between 7 and 14 years old.
Passion: Music, Polynesian Canoe, travel, birds watching.
José Ignacio Beteta
Location: Lima, Peru
Position: Conecta Director.
Experience: BA in History, MA in public administration and management. Director at Conecta, an innovation social hub that lead social development projects across Peru since 2008. Also director to the Peruvian Taxpayers Association, a think tank that analyzes and proposes public policy reforms on behalf of the Peruvian citizens. He's also part of the 2025 team representing Peru at the Architecture Biennale 2025.
Passion: He loves Puno, its history, culture and want to be part of this wonderful and unique initiative. He would love to cooperate with the Association using his experience in social projects management, funding, and creating innovative solutions to the challenges the association may face as an institution in the future.
